How Not Being Ready is a Big Myth

One of the most common phrases I hear from my clients is “I’m just not ready yet”.

But the truth is, I don’t think we ever truly feel that we are being ready as business owners and sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith, put your mind to it, and work as hard as you can to achieve your goals.

A lot of entrepreneurs believe that they need a sign or a marker on their journey to prompt them to take their business to the next level, whether they are launching their first online course, expanding their services or products, or something else. However, taking the leap is part of the getting and being ready process and nowadays with so much information and resources available to us, we no longer have an excuse to procrastinate!

I want to tackle the biggest myth of not being ready, so here are a few steps to help you feel more prepared to take your business to the next level and achieve more success.

Strive for progress, not perfection

Being Ready for gym class

Many entrepreneurs and business owners feel a pressure to get it right the first time, which is why they often don’t feel they are being ready to take their business to the next level. However, the most important thing is to strive for progress rather than perfection. As long as you’re moving in the right direction, that is a sign of success and you will slowly begin to feel more prepared and more confident in your business.

Plan, then take action

Planning is crucial for any business, but there comes a point when you need to put that plan into action. Map out your ideas, your business plan, and your vision, and then set an execution date. You’ll always have more to plan, but by setting a date it prompts you to take action so you are being ready.

If your goal is to launch your own online course to share your expertise and expand your service offering, our Big Leap Bootcamp may be perfect for you as the course will help you to create your online course and build your confidence, and at the end you’ll be ready to take action and offer it to your customers.

Embrace new opportunities

A lot of people make the mistake of waiting too long to feel “ready”, and eventually their opportunity and gap in the market passes by and they leave it too late. Rather than waiting, embrace new opportunities as they come along and take things one day at a time and you’ll soon see your business grow.
