Automation Secrets for Service Professionals

If you are a Service Professional and you want to scale up your business, you will not get around automation in your business.

Automation is the key to business growth!

In this short video I describe what automation is and how you can implement it in your business.

“Hello. This is Petra Mayer, Petra Mayer Consulting, Online Strategy Made Easy.

And today I want to talk to you from the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. The purpose of today’s video is to talk to you about automation. Three aspects of automation that I want to introduce you to, specifically if you are a Service Professional and you’re considering to create your own Online Courses or Group Programs that you are delivering online. Automation is an important aspect of that.

The first thing is: What is automation?

When you’re automating your material, you’re actually creating pre-recorded videos or audios. You’re also creating a number of documents that your clients can use from the comfort of their home or their home office or their office.

They can go through the material at their own time and at their own pace. And that’s when you’re automating that delivery and ultimately you are not actually submitting that content to your clients any more. They have the ability to access the content online through a platform where you make it available to them. So that’s the first part of automation.

The second part is: What should you automate?

Well, you tend to automate things that you’re repeating. You are doing over and over again with all your clients. You’re primary systems and your processes that you have developed for the material that you are teaching your clients on. So you only automate what is typically something that you use for everybody.

And not necessarily something that is very specific and unique for your clients. Those items you deliver one-on-one and you deliver in your Q&A calls and your mentor calls. Now, the third aspect that I want to talk to you about is about how much of your group programs or online courses should you automate, versus how much of it would you be delivering live. Because online programs are on a continuum from 100% automated to 100% delivered live.

Somewhere on that continuum is your program.

The fun thing is that you can decide what works best for you. You decide the level of automation or the level of how much you are delivering in Person or through an online platform live.

Which means, you totally decide the level of freedom that you are creating for yourself, and the level of flexibility that you’re giving to your clients about how to access your material.

Now 3rd: Why would you automate?

It creates a lot of value for your clients. They have access to your material at their own time in their freedom. It creates a lot of value for you and freedom for you in your business and you can serve more clients in a greater area, geographical area, than you might want to do if you are delivering programs and services in Person particularly. But even if you are doing it online. There is still a restriction with regards to time-zones.

You have a lot of benefits by using automation in your programs.

Now you might say: I want to automate, but I don’t know how to get started.
